Drug Detection Handler Course
My 2 Scents K9 is proud to offer a comprehensive Drug Detection Handler Course designed exclusively for law enforcement professionals. This program combines hands-on team development with classroom instruction to build competent, confident, and certification-ready K9 teams.
Course Highlights:
Team-building through practical fieldwork
Classroom instruction
Preparation for state certification
Topics Include (but are not limited to):
Record keeping and documentation
Understanding and reading your dog
Scent theory and odor behavior
Deployment strategies and search planning
K9 care and maintenance
Legal proceedings and case law
Community engagement and public interaction
Participants will train across diverse environments throughout Lewis County, including buildings,
vehicles, and real-world deployment scenarios.

Drop-In Detection Night 🐾💥
Already on odor? Then you’re invited to sniff, search, and stir things up every other Wednesday!
Drop in, no sign-up needed.
We’re serving up fun hides, big sniffs, and fresh scenarios for dogs of all disciplines.
Odors on deck: Sport, Drug, HRD*, HE and Low Explosive (2 each rotating), firearms*

⚠️ This is NOT an imprinting event.
Dogs must already know their target odors.

🎃 Sniff n’ Scream at the Dog House 👻
It’s back, creepers—our annual Halloween Sniff n’ Go at My 2 Scents K9.
Skeletons are prepped, pumpkins are judging, and your dog’s nose better be sharper than your costume game.
📍 Location: My 2 Scents K9, 585 Leonard RD, Onalaska, WA 98570
📅 Date: October 31, 2025
⏰ Time: Drop in anytime between 12 PM and 6 PM. First come, first sniffed.
💰 Cost: $25 per 30-minute slot
🐶 One dog per slot. All experience levels welcome—just make sure your pup can sniff anise, birch, and clove
(or fake it with spooky confidence).
🧠 Run blind or ask for help—we won’t judge. The skeletons might.
🎭 Costumes encouraged. Bonus points if your dog looks cooler than you.
💀 Expect ghouls, ghosts, and at least one handler dressed as a traffic cone.
🚫 No sign-ups. No spreadsheets. No stress. Just show up and sniff like your life depends on it.

🕵️♂️ Sniff n Go: Lodge Edition 🕵️♀️
We’re bringing the scentwork to a spot with serious history—Chehalis’s Scout Lodge, officially listed on the National Historic Registry.
Built in 1938, it once doubled as a classroom after the 1949 earthquake rocked the local high school.
Now it’s your turn to shake things up but with your pup's nose.
You sniff, they Scout—part of your registration goes straight to supporting the Cub Scouts Pack 9301.
Sign up now! Slots go fast—like a handler chasing their dog’s leash in the parking lot.

🎄 Holiday Bizarre: Presented by the Labra-Dorks 🐾
Join us for our first annual Holiday Bizarre, where festive chaos meets canine excellence. Two full days of sniff n’ go drop-ins, CGC testing blocks, photo ops that’ll make your ma cry (from laughter or pride—we don’t judge), and vendors selling everything from dog gear to impulse buys you didn’t know you needed.

🐓 Second Annual Rowdy Rooster Rummage & Replenish: Sniffin’ for a Cause 🐾
(Yes, it’s our second time. No, we still haven’t learned to behave.)
🥫 What’s the deal?
We’re back for round two of scentwork chaos and community love.
The Winlock Vader Food Bank is opening its doors for a two-day sniff-a-palooza that’s part training, part thrift-store treasure hunt, and all heart.
🐾 Why “Second Annual”?
Because we did it once, it was awesome, and now it’s tradition.
Also, we like pretending we’re organized, and we love supporting the community.
Day 1 (Dec 27):
Search zones include the Rowdy Rooster restaurant and thrift store.
Expect vintage weirdness, questionable mannequins, and maybe a lava lamp or two.
Day 2 (Jan 1):
Start your year with a nose-first tour of the food bank itself.
It’s like a resolution, but with more kibble and fewer regrets.
