Drug Detection Handler Course
My 2 Scents K9 is proud to offer a comprehensive Drug Detection Handler Course designed exclusively for law enforcement professionals. This program combines hands-on team development with classroom instruction to build competent, confident, and certification-ready K9 teams.
Course Highlights:
Team-building through practical fieldwork
Classroom instruction
Preparation for state certification
Topics Include (but are not limited to):
Record keeping and documentation
Understanding and reading your dog
Scent theory and odor behavior
Deployment strategies and search planning
K9 care and maintenance
Legal proceedings and case law
Community engagement and public interaction
Participants will train across diverse environments throughout Lewis County, including buildings,
vehicles, and real-world deployment scenarios.

Drop-In Detection Night 🐾💥
Already on odor? Then you’re invited to sniff, search, and stir things up every other Wednesday!
Drop in, no sign-up needed.
We’re serving up fun hides, big sniffs, and fresh scenarios for dogs of all disciplines.
Odors on deck: Sport, Drug, HRD*, HE and Low Explosive (2 each rotating), firearms*
📍 Location: My 2 Scents K9 - 585 Leonard Rd, Onalaska, WA 98570
💰 $25 per dog
⚠️ This is NOT an imprinting event.
Dogs must already know their target odors.

🐾 The Annual “Dogs Sniff, I Freeze” Sniff‑N‑Go
Supporting the Lewis County Special Olympics Polar Plunge
Listen… you don’t have to jump into the icy water like a questionable‑decision‑making adult.
I’ll do that part.
You? You just register, show up, and let your dog sniff every couch, chair, and decorative pillow Nelson’s has ever loved.
Your registration will help support the mission of inclusion and Special Olympics athletes!
Your dog gets a field trip.
You get bragging rights.
I get hypothermia.
Everyone wins.
Come support a great cause, laugh at my life choices, and let your dog live their best “indoor scenting paradise” fantasy.

🐶 One dog per slot. All levels welcome—just bring your anise, birch, and clove game. Run blind or ask for help.
