REACHING NEW HEIGHTS WITH HANDLERS AND THEIR K9S

PROFESSIONAL DETECTION K9 TRAINING

HANDLER TRAINING

My 2 Scents K9, LLC is proud to support organizations in achieving their goals of developing competent and successful narcotics or explosive detection dog teams. We offer post-training support designed to expand on initial training, hone skills, and build trust within the team. We focus on building a strong communication foundation between you and your dog, enhancing your ability to work as a cohesive team. Our comprehensive approach ensures that both handlers and dogs continue to grow and perform at their best in any situation.

Maintenance training

We provide objective-oriented training designed to maintain operational proficiency, identify and correct training deficiencies, and enhance team objectives. Whether it's working with solid odors, adapting to new environments, pushing the team's limits, or reinforcing fundamental skills, our programs cater to both law enforcement and private security teams. Maintenance training can be once a month or more depending on the organizational needs. Holding both ATF and DEA licenses, My 2 Scents K9 is fully equipped to meet all your detection needs with the highest standards of excellence.

Regional Training for Drug K9 Teams

Offered at no cost to law enforcement teams, our monthly training sessions are scheduled at varied dates and locations. These comprehensive sessions include a range of environments such as interiors, containers, exteriors, and vehicles, ensuring thorough and realistic training scenarios. Additionally, we conduct odor recognition evaluations to further hone the skills of the participating teams. Please note that these sessions are private and designed to provide focused, high-quality training tailored to the unique needs of law enforcement professionals. Security professionals may be admitted after prior screening.

Certifications / Evaluations for Professional K9 Teams

At My 2 Scents K9, we offer two distinct certifications tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our in-house evaluations have established a standard that we believe aligns with the recommendations of the American Academy of Forensic Science, as well as those of other reputable organizations across the country. Additionally, we are proud to offer certification through the esteemed International Police Canine Association (formerly known as CNCA), which is recognized for its excellence in canine training and standards. Both certifications reflect our commitment to quality and our dedication to fostering well-trained, reliable, and effective working dogs.

WHAT PROFESSIONALS HAVE SAID

“She is (was) always challenging us to be better by changing the environment, times of day, and other factors including working our dogs outside in inclement weather. Whether in a training environment or an actual deployment, she is (was) always there for us when we have a question about something.

-former drug dog handler, D. Roessel, Bremerton Police

Department

“Deputy Bridgman’s calm, patient and supportive teaching style truly resonated with me and she helped strip away many conflicting and sometimes misguided directives. I have found Deputy Bridgman’s canine advice to be consistently on point. She has always been open-minded and willing to experiment to find the method that works best for the canine team to be successful. Her ability to avoid being rigid and her drive to research and learn has kept her out in front, leading with the most recently announced best practices and training methods.” -Bomb Dog Handler, W. Billingsley, King County Sheriff’s Office

“Kristi defines teaching to the dog, strengthening the handler and the dog together both as a team AND as individuals. She does not just teach your dog to find odor, she teaches handlers how to best read their dog, nose to tail. Her passion and dedication to helping canine teams be their best can be seen in every session and team that comes through her training programs. You know you will always walk away better than when you came in. Kristi is incredibly patient as she is knowledgeable and I am grateful I've gotten to work with her with both my company dog, and my project dog, and couldn't possibly recommend her enough!” -Bomb Dog Handler, T. Douglas, AMK9 (project dog-drug)
